Country Boat Ride and Fishing
Country boats are small types of boats used for local water transport which can accommodate a small number of people. It is not driven by a motor. As it is small in size, it gives the opportunity to enjoy the exotic sceneries by riding. The Muvattupuzha river which passes through the Ramamangalam panchayat offers exciting views for the guests. The ride takes us through various scenic points and stories in the village.

Paddy Field Walk
Kizhumuri and Ullelikunnu in Ramamangalam is one of the vast paddy fields in the district of Ernakulam. These lush green paddy fields are always a marvellous sight to the travellers. Bee Keeping
This is an enjoyable and challenging activity. We will visit bee colonies and see the process of honey processing. Try your hand with honey bees and know how they function. There are experienced villagers who are able to offer educational tours to the local bee-keeping Centre and provide a fascinating insight to the honeybee rearing and honey collection process.

Tiger Caves
“Puliallu” or “Tiger Cave” is an old cave formed at the mouth of Kodikuthimala. There are many mysteries and fairy tales surrounded by the cave. The place was used as a hiding place and escape route by ancient kings as per natives. There are interesting structures inside the cave which amuses visitors. There is a Domestic Animals rearing unit near to the cave.

Shatkala Complex
Ramamangalam is known as the birthplace of Ṣaṭkāla Govinda Mārār a renowned Carnatic Musician. He was a contemporary of Saint Tyāgarāja and Swathi Thirunal Rama Varma. He was also adept in playing musical instruments like Chenda, Edakka and Thimila. His expertise in singing in the six degrees of geometric speed earned him the title Ṣaṭkāla. By legend, Endaro Mahanubhavulu, one of Thyagaraja's most famous compositions, was composed after he heard Marar sing. Ṣaṭkāla Govinda Mārār is said to have used a Tamburu having seven strings. The two-storey building adjacent to the Sree Perumthrikkovil temple in Ramamangalam is a fitting memorial to the saint-musician. For more information visit.

Koorumala Point
One of the sporty locations in the Ramamangalam tourism destination. A slightly sloped rock terrain paved with cohesive tiles for travellers, this is a place for all. The mesmerising breeze flowing through the viewpoint is deeply calming and relaxing. There is a watch tower for delightful experiences for travellers from where we can see the city and sea. It’s definitely a fabulous picnic spot for family and friends. The Andichira toddy shop near the destination is known for delicious local cuisines.

Churches and Temples
Ramamangalam St.Jacobs Knanaya Church, Perumthikkovil temple, Nalambalam, Ooramana temples, Galilakkunnu church, Kadamattom pally, historic churches and ancient temples at Kizhumuri and Mamalassey etc.offers distinctive times for pilgrims. Ooramana Narsimha Sastha temple is known for the blessing of unique deities and of ancient murals. The temple is also popular with epic legends. Attutheeram Park
Located in a calm and serene location, Attutheeram park at Piravom has become a leisure time spot for people. It's an ideal location for Cinema and Serial Shooting. Kadamattom Church
The church involves many stories and myths. It is believed to have been constructed in the 9th century AD by Mar Sabor. It is believed by many that Mar Sabor was a holy man with exceptional knowledge of medicine and also had miraculous powers. As you enter the church on your left side there is a photo of Mar Abo Metropolitan. It is also believed that he was an alias of Kadamattathu Kathanar. The church has a gate with two lion statues. It also has a beautiful Persian cross.

Pazhoor Padippura
It is an astrology centre linked to Pazhoor Perumthrikkovil temple. The temple is believed to be nearly 1,800 years old. A unique phenomenon observed here is that the Muvattupuzha river flowing west from east changes direction on reaching the temple. It retraces its path and flows east for a certain distance before diverting again to north and west. Had the river not changed its course, the temple would have been washed away. The architecture of the old residence and Padippura (the entrance to an ancestral home) will enthral you for sure. Pazhoor Padippura comprises three Padippuras. Mercury and Venus are the deities in the Eastern Padippura, the Samadhi of Thalakkulathoor Govindan Bhattathiri is on the west, and Yagam and other rituals are held at the Padippura in the center.Read

Pottery Making
Pottery making is a highly skilled artisan work. The way the traditional artisans mould clay and make it into beautiful pots and other household utensils is a highly exciting activity to everyone. Meet Mr. Laxmanan at Kizhumuri, the sole artisan who moulds pottery fully handmade. It is an arduous task which involves lots of patience and subtle attention.

Kodikuthimala Trekking :
Kodikuthimala is a village trekking location at Ooramana. It is an old British Naval Observatory where surveyors used to do geographic studies. It is one of the topest locations in the district of Ernakulam. Kodikuthimala is a most sought after point for cyclists, nature lovers and adventurers which used to be a camp sight for many. Broom Making
These household units are involved in the making of brooms. Using the veins of coconut or other suitable leaves, our host will demonstrate the art of broom making in a complete rural setting. Beyond an activity, this is a livelihood for these community members.

Mana Visit
Mana means old heritage model house. The place Ooraman in Ramamangalam is known for manas. These old houses are the treasures of traditional architecture and styles. Also, the compound surrounded by the manas are offering exuberant views. Visitors can walk and experience the old techniques and rituals associated with ancient families.

Areekkal WaterFall
A very rare waterfall in the region surrounded by wild woods and picturesque ambience.The milky waterfall originating from the upper canal of the dam offers unparalleled experience of seeing cascading effect flowing over rocky shelves on a wooded hillside, with pools for paddling & swimming. This is a virgin and unpolluted destination. Please mind not littering and be responsble.The silver, shimmering water cascading down from around 100 feet with forest and rubber plantations in the background is a sight to behold. This silvery cascading water atop rocky cliffs is a visual delight and a popular tourist spot of the city.

Shoolam Water Fall
A quiet peaceful waterfall flowing through the edges of Shoolam hills near Ramamangalam. Located deep remote, Shoolam waterfalls are a hidden natural gift and treasure offering lots of adrenaline rush to adventure travellers and nature lovers. There is a huge quarry nearby which is very deep and dangerous to venture in.Please carry your garbage back with you if you visit this place. It's rough terrain and be careful while stepping into it.

Donkey Farm
Aby Baby’s one-of- its-kind donkey farm at Ramamangalam is the source of donkey milk used in a range of natural skincare products manufactured by him. Roughly 30 kilometres east of Kochi is Kolenchery, a criss-cross of low hills, flat paddy fields, pineapple farms and rubber estates. The Ramamangalam river flows quietly amid this undulated, picturesque terrain. A short detour into the hinterland at Ramamangalam, is Aby Baby’s donkey farm, a mid-sized kraal with 19 donkeys. It is a landscape where the animal is not seen commonly and the hardy donkeys look incongruous; says the Hindu about Donkey farm and Aby in Ramamangalam.

Kochareckal Caves
Kochareekkal Caves is one of the hidden nature’s wonders in the Ramamangalam Tourism village which is situated near Areekkal Waterfalls in Pampakuda. Kochareekkal caves are bounded by creepers and with huge trees which gives a feeling of walking into a deep jungle. The caves are supported by huge roots of the tree. Rainbow bridge
The hanging bridge helps people reach Pazhoor from Kakkad easily without touching the town. It also takes the people from Kakkad to Valiyaparambu-Nadakkavu highway. The 40- metre rainbow bridge connects the Pazhoor Temple and ‘Manappuram’, where people perform ‘Bali Tharpanam’. It was usual to build a temporary bridge every year for ‘Bali Tharpanam’. After the completion of the projects, the area is witnessing a steep increase in the number of visitors.
